From our co-founder's pen:

The story of Play North®️ started in 2018 in a small room with very few people in it. We soon started to open our doors and bring in more great people – the ones who made all this possible and are still around today. When we started operations with our first licence and brand in Estonia, we were a team of around ten people. With the strong growth seen from the beginning, we soon grew into a team of around 25 great employees, operating brands such as Pikakasino.

We have had many great experiences over the years. We acquired the MGA licence and things progressed steadily. At the end of 2020, we decided to focus solely on regulated markets and push to apply for the Dutch licence. With some fantastic teamwork, we were one of the first licence holders in The Netherlands and are now extremely excited to see Kansino performing so well.

The small room where our journey began has now changed to bigger offices in three different locations. We now have around 50 people on board and the crew is still growing quickly. One of our main focuses at the moment is Compliance and Responsible Gaming. Not only because both are prerequisites when operating in regulated markets, but equally because we believe this is the perfect way to build a sustainable iGaming business.

Our formula has always been very much about building a gaming experience we ourselves would love to enjoy. For us, this means a safe, responsible and simple experience without complex conditions and time-consuming complications.

On a final note: nothing successful can be achieved without great people on board. We are where we are today only because of such an impressive team!

Mental Health First Aid Skilled Workplace Silver Award

Following our strong commitment to employee mental health and wellbeing, Play North proudly holds the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Skilled Workplace Silver Award, granted by the Richmond Foundation. This accreditation reflects our dedication to equipping our team with practical mental health first aid skills. Through MHFA training, employees learn to recognise early signs of mental health challenges, offer initial support in a confidential and non-judgmental way, and guide colleagues toward appropriate professional help when needed. The Silver Award highlights Play North's ongoing efforts to foster a workplace culture where mental health is valued as highly as physical health. By investing in our people, we empower our team not only to look after their own wellbeing but also to support one another with empathy, awareness, and care. We are proud of this achievement and remain committed to creating a safe, supportive, and mentally healthy workplace for everyone.
